About Us
Our story is just beginning. We began as a youth baseball club and grew into so much more. Teaching and sharing the love of baseball and softball with youth ballplayers is our mission and creating a lifelong love of the game is our goal. We now provide hitting, fielding, catching and general instruction for all levels of player, from just starting with the game through High School.
Jason Sunstrom
Owner/Head Coach
Welcome to the Highlands Ranch Black Sox Instruction page. My name is Jason Sunstrom. I have been a youth/High School specific coach for over 15 years an began coaching over 26 years ago. I have coached baseball and softball at all levels including Recreational, Competitive, Travel/Club and High School. I am currently coaching High School and Club baseball and softball here in Highlands Ranch.
My expertise is in hitting, catching, infield and outfield instruction and have a passion for helping youth players maximize their enjoyment of the game. However I can also help with general defensive fundamentals and basic baseball pitching fundamentals for youth ball. My goal is to get your son or daughter in a place where they can be successful and fully enjoy the sport of baseball or softball. For those that are nearing the end of their little league journey I can also help prepare them for High School baseball/softball. I am a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the Colorado High School Coaches Association (CHSCA).
Each kid is unique in the way they approach the game and I work to assess their strengths and use training methods that will best work for their skill set and ability. We will work together to improve their skills and more importantly help them to contribute to team success.
I look forward to working with you and your son or daughter.
